Cinecolor Argentina

Cinecolor Argentina was for many years the most important photo-chemical film lab of Latin-america. Like many others around the world, it closed in 2016, after film projectors were massively replaced by digital and DCP became the standard. In 2020 I started an oral history project with the goal of preserving the knowledge and the techniques developed by the workers of the lab over the years.

I interviewed some ex-workers, managers, clients and other individuals that took part on the activities of the company. The first draft of this research was presented on may 2021 at
